Join Ruby in supporting America’s SBDCs on the 6th annual #SBDCDay

Starting a business is no small feat.

Growing a business? Even no smaller of a feat.

Few people can do it alone—and fortunately, thanks to America’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, they don’t have to.

For over 40 years, the SBDC Network has helped millions of entrepreneurs and small business owners, including many in marginalized and minoritized communities, start and grow their businesses.

Whether SBDCs are serving rural America, addressing a solution in biotech, or helping a minority-owned business expand to global exporting, SBDCs are at the forefront, assisting their clients every step of the way.

The impact of America’s SBDCs, at a glance

With nearly 1,000 locations across the country, SBDCs are in every community illuminating the path forward for their clients. America’s SBDCs provide measurable economic results. In 2021, SBDCs helped generate:

  • 71,399 jobs
  • $7.6 billion in sales growth
  • $6 billion in financing

Best of all, they helped entrepreneurs start 18,691 new businesses!

SBDC Day: today, March 16th

To celebrate the collective impact and success SBDCs have across the nation and in local communities each year, America’s SBDCs are hosting the sixth annual SBDC Day today, March 16th.

SBDC Day is a national movement to help share the small business success stories and notable impact SBDCs have fostered in communities nationwide.

SBDC partners and supporters are celebrating the day by participating in the national SBDC Day Ambassador program which is designed for organizations and businesses to get involved in SBDC Day and show their support through social media, blogs and newsletters.

“In 2022, we will continue to focus on each and every community, and how the SBDC is working with local businesses and partner organizations to address the effects of the unprecedented disruptions caused by the global pandemic and social unrest on small businesses,” said Charles “Tee” Rowe, President & CEO of America’s SBDC. “SBDCs have been an undeniable positive resource and will continue to help build and rebuild their communities.”
